The position is a key member of the local senior leadership team and is required to provide guidance and input with regard to a broad range of business matters.
This is a critical financial position within a $1.
0 billion division, with strong potential for advancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Development and maintenance of systems and processes to ensure timely and accurate financial and operational information is available for purposes of managing the business and meeting the Company's external reporting requirements Preparation of annual business plan and monthly forecast updates, together with supporting the rest of the management team in identification of issues and opportunities and planning/execution of corrective actions Assistance in the preparation of short-term and long-term operational goals, plans, and expense and capital equipment budgets based on the Division goals and growth objectives Development and maintenance of standard costs for purchased and manufactured products, together with reporting and analysis of related variances Review and evaluation of monthly actual performance compared to plan and prior periods Cost center reporting including comparison of actual to plan and addressing variances with cost center managers and supervisors Assist operations management in the implementation of changes as may be required to achieve plan performance Compliance with the Company's SOPs regarding financial management and control, and establishment / enforcement of consistent plant level operating procedures as required Establishment of close working relationships with plant management team and with Division / Corporate HQ personnel Participation with cross functional teams and provision of financial support, analysis, and guidance Participation in the Company's ERP project by advising on plant level requirements and helping design and drive the adoption of new business processes in conjunction with a system implementation Skills/Experience Requirements Previous experience as a regional, division or plant controller 6-10 years' experience in the manufacturing industry Emphasis on cycle time, total quality, productivity gains, cost reduction project management, make vs.
buy analyses, and innovative manufacturing techniques Cost accounting and inventory management and control skills/knowledge Strong verbal and written communications skills, excellent leadership capabilities, and excellent problem identification and solving skills Prior experience developing and managing annual manufacturing operations and capital budgets Prior experience with ERP system implementation in a manufacturing environment strongly desired Prior experience managing direct reports Appropriate knowledge of U.
S.
GAAP Lean manufacturing experience is a plus Education Requirements 4 year Undergraduate Degree Required in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred.
